In the unlikely event of the site of King John’s Palace being unavailable (due to actions outside of Mercian’s control) Mercian will move the field school to a neighbouring site within the Sherwood Forest Archaeology Project. All aspects of the taught course and all experience listed as part of the field school would be still be delivered. In such an event delegates will have a chance to opt for a refund but this would not include the non-refundable deposit. (In the event of a delegate choosing not to attend due to changes in site location, where accommodation/travel has been booked (as outlined above) this would need to be covered through travel insurance- especially when visiting from abroad).
